Welcome to the micronation
of the
Emirate of Kushan
The Emirate of Kushan (or commonly the Kushan Emirate) was established on 9, June, 1410 A.H.
It is a Spanish-Islamic (Moorish) principality (Emirate). It is ruled by an Emir (Amir)
It is infamous for its Spanish-Moorish architecture, most notably the Palace of the Emir, and for its tolerance of other faiths besides Islam.
The Emirate is considered to be a moderate Muslim State.
[Palace of the Emir & Mahjilis]
The Kushan Emirate was founded by Spanish Moors (Spanish Arabs) following the Jara-Nasi Wars
that took place north of the Emirate in Mashadistan between 1406 AH and 1410 AH.
Refugees from Mashadistan migrated to the southern
desert regions following the wars and established the Kushan Emirate.
THE ROYAL EMIRATE GOVERNMENT
The Kushan Emirate is ruled by an Emir (Islamic
Prince) who is also referred to as the
Sultan of Kushan. The mongol title of “Khan” is also
used. The current Emir-Sultan is
H.S.H. Muhammid Adan Kadar (Emir Adan Khan) who is of
Moorish descent, primarily Spanish-Moroccan.
Kushan is a constitutional principality.
The national parliament is called the Mahjilis.
The Mahjilis is composed of 100 deputies elected by
the populous every 2 years.
The Emir serves as Head of State while the
Prime Minister (Grand Vizier) serves as the Head of Government.
The Vizier is assisted by a Council of Ministers that
are appointed by the Emir. The national Constitution
is modeled after the constitution of Morocco.
